WHy mental health first aid?
Like our state of physical health we all have a level of mental health. At any time, anyone can suffer from mental ill health impacting on our day-to-day life, relationships and work.
Unlike physical health, we are not always aware of how to take care of our mental health. In part, this is due to the stigmas surrounding poor mental health, in some cases, an almost taboo subject. This means we do not always know how to spot the warning signs or where to go to get support for mental health issues for yourself, a friend, family members or colleagues.
Mental Health First Aid England are making great strides in societal changes.
Found the course very interesting and it was delivered brilliantly. The instructors were very professional throughout but also made themselves approachable and were more than willing to answer any questions that arouse and we’re also happy to share their personal experiences with the members of the course, all in all a very well delivered and intuitive course.
It’s really opened my eyes about how to detect mental health problems and who to guide them towards so people can get further help for the road to recovery.
